Mira's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Mira!

Shes a little peanut weighing in at 10 lbs at 4.5 months old.

Mira is a cute & quiet girl looking for a cute & quiet home. Mira is independent when youre busy, but happy to sit in your lap and relax when youre free! Mira loves being outside and wrestling her brother in the dirt.

Although Mira is being fostered with lots of other small dogs, she hasn't really befriended them. She can live harmoniously with them, but would be happiest as an only pup or with only one other small dog sibling. Mira is very scared of big dogs, so that wouldn't be a great match.

Mira is doing okay with potty training but is perfect in her crate. She has done a few work days with a drop in from a dog walker and been happy as can be.

Mira would love a home who can let her be her happy independent self - could that be you?

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
