Mira's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Mira!

She's a petite girl weighing in around 10.5 lbs at 4 months old. She's from Puerto Rico and believed to be a chihuahua mix.

Mira is sweet to her people but a little weary of other dogs. She is in foster with lots of small dogs and is fine unless they startle her and then screams so loud her foster is worried what the neighbors think! She gets more comfy every day though. She would love a quieter home though, where she could get really confident and thrive!

She is amazing in her crate and okay with potty training. She loves to zip around the around. Shes so fast with her little body!

If you think little Mira is for you - apply today!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
