Minnie's Story
Meet Minnie!

Minnie is a sweet 5-year-old, 12–14 lb black-and-tan Poodle with a playful personality and a heart full of potential. She loves crackly toys, entertains herself with adorable zoomies, and will keep you smiling with her silly antics.

Minnie has lived successfully with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion, though she also enjoys simply being near her people. She is crate trained and has moderate energy, making her a wonderful companion for a calm home that can provide structure and patience.

Minnie is still learning important life skills, including house training and walking on a leash. Because leash walks are very stressful for her, she is looking for a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely exercise, play, and build confidence.

Minnie is naturally very shy and easily startled. Quick movements, unfamiliar situations, and sudden changes can frighten her, and it takes her time to build trust. While she enjoys being around her people, she is not a cuddly lap dog at this stage and prefers affection on her own terms. Her ideal adopter will understand that earning her trust is a journey and will celebrate the small victories along the way using gentle, positive reinforcement.

Because of her sensitive nature, Minnie is looking for an adult-only home or one with older teens. She is not a good fit for a home with young children.

Minnie's ideal home:

Securely fenced yard

No young children

Patient family committed to continuing her training and building her confidence

A calm, predictable environment

Plenty of toys for playtime and zoomies

If you're looking for a sweet, funny little companion and have the patience to let her blossom at her own pace, Minnie is ready to find her forever family.
