Minnie Dane's Story
** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ **

Minnie is a beautiful 6-year-old Great Dane who weighs approximately 95 pounds. She was found at a park on the south side of San Antonio. She was skin & bones and had been on her own for a long time. She was very distrustful of people and it took a couple of days of sitting with lunch meat to gain her trust.

Minnie doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She will need a family that can give her a bit to trust them. She does not seek attention but is comfortable laying on her cushy bed and watching things go on. She is a little flinchy at being petted but has gotten a lot better.

Minnie does have a few lumps on her - the vet says they are nothing to worry about and suggested not removing them. She was also of course heartworm positive but has been treated and will be negative on her next test in 6 months.

We are looking for a quiet home for this gentle lady where she can live the rest of her life not having to worry about anything!

Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.)

You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization.

Her adoption fee is $150. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar.

Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org.

Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references.

Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com.

** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX.
