Minnie's Story
The biographical information provided is correct to the best of our knowledge while the animal is in our care or includes what may have been provided by a previous owner. We strive to be honest and accurate, but animals can change their personalities and behavior when they settle into a new home. IDR+ makes no guarantees based on the information we observe and provide.

Minnie is a 9.5-year-old Chihuahua mix who has officially settled into foster life—and decided she runs the place (from a blanket burrito, of course). At a mighty 5 lbs, she may be tiny, but her personality is…not.

After some time decompressing, Minnie has blossomed into a deeply devoted, hilarious little companion. She is extremely bonded to her foster parents—both mom and dad—so don’t worry, she has plenty of love to go around. She’s not a one-person dog…she’s a “whoever is sitting down gets claimed” kind of girl.

Her signature move? Commentary. Minnie is not a big barker, but she is a world-class grumbler. Her collection of grunts, groans, and dramatic little noises will keep you entertained daily. She will absolutely “talk” to you—especially if you are late with dinner or not paying enough attention to her obvious need for snuggles.

Speaking of priorities: Minnie loves food, loves attention, and loves being exactly where you are. Preferably touching you. Ideally on your lap. Acceptable alternative: pressed against your side while silently judging your TV choices.

She gets along well with other dogs and has perfected the art of “all grumble, no bite.” It’s mostly talk. In fact, we’re pretty sure she’s developing a tiny crush on the resident Chihuahua (don’t tell him—she’s trying to play it cool). She peacefully ignores the cats and keeps herself out of trouble like a polite little roommate.

Minnie is potty pad trained and currently leveling up her outdoor potty skills. She thrives in a calm home and would still prefer an adult-only environment where she can relax, be adored, and not deal with chaos.

At the end of the day, Minnie is simple: she wants love, snacks, and a cozy place next to you. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key, slightly dramatic best friend who will keep you laughing with her tiny grumbles and big personality—Minnie is your girl.
