Minnie's Story
Id be happy to help. Heres a more heartfelt adoption post that is honest about Minnies needs while focusing on the wonderful dog she is.

Through no fault of her own, sweet Minnie is once again looking for a family to call her own.

Many of you may remember Minnie from her time with Dantes Hope. She was adopted and has been deeply loved by her family. Unfortunately, life has changed. Since welcoming a new baby, Minnie has become increasingly anxious. Her family has spent a great deal of time trying to make things work and, after many difficult conversations, has made the heartbreaking decision that finding Minnie a home better suited to her needs is the kindest choice for everyone involved.

Minnie is approximately 3 years old, weighs about 30 pounds, and is a Rat Terrier mix. She is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, and current on her ProHeart injection.

Minnie isnt the kind of dog who instantly becomes everyones best friend. She is shy, cautious, and needs time to trust. New people can be scary for her, and when shes nervous, her first instinct is to run. Because of this, she is looking for a patient family with older children who understand and respect her boundaries while she settles in.

Her ideal home must have another friendly dog. Minnie gains confidence from other dogs and truly thrives with a canine companion. While she doesnt mind cats, she does think theyre fun to chase, so a cat-free home would likely be best.

Once Minnie knows shes safe, her playful personality shines. She loves being outdoors, listens well to commands, is fully kennel trained, and is about 90% house-trained as long as she stays on a consistent routine. Shes not a huge fan of car rides or bath time, but shes a good girl and cooperates anyway.

Minnie doesnt need a perfect family—she simply needs one willing to give her the patience, understanding, and love she deserves. In return, youll earn the trust of a dog whose love is incredibly rewarding because its built on confidence, not convenience.

If you think you could be the family Minnie has been waiting for, please complete an adoption application at danteshope.com. We know her perfect home is out there, and were committed to helping her find it.
