Meet Minnie
Meet Minnie, a lovely boxer/terrier mix who is approximately 3-years old. Minnie came to us when her owners were moving and were not able to take her with them.
This girl absolutely loves long walks and will sit eagerly as soon as she sees you have her harness in hand. She walks very well and enjoys sniffing along the way and rolling in the grass. Minnie is very athletic and can catch a ball mid air during a game of fetch! She has great recall and will bring the ball right back in hopes of another throw. It's good to have a second ball to throw as she will drop her ball when another is tossed. Minnie is proud to demonstrate how smart she is! She knows 'sit', 'paw', 'down', and is extremely food motivated as she learns to master basic commands and overall good manners. In fact, there isn't much this girl won't do for food. As Minnie can be a little hesitant when she first meets someone new, just toss her a few treats, and she will surely be your new best friend!
Minnie is a medium (40 lbs) sized pup, but what she lacks in size she makes up in her big personality and even bigger smile! With that being said, she can be a bit picky about her canine friends. She prefers younger and submissive males and she plays very well with them in play groups. We have yet to find a female dog to her liking, so a home without female dogs would be best. Minnie also gets intensely focused on felines when she sees them, so for everyone's safety we would ask for no kitty friends in the home as well.
This funny, playful gal is a true sweetheart and would thrive in an active home where she could get plenty of exercise and play time. We know she will be a fabulous companion and hope to find her the perfect forever home.
