Mingo's Story

Mingo’s Story
Courtesy Post only by Denton Humane Society for Denton Animal Shelter

If you’ve ever wished your dog could politely tell you what he wants... congratulations, you’ve found him! Mingo is a handsome, talkative dog who believes communication is key — especially when the topic is food, outside time, or belly rubs. Mingo is a sweetheart who settled into foster home life beautifully. He’s very people friendly, dog friendly, and loves being brushed. He’s an affectionate “Velcro dog,” happiest when he’s close to his humans. He’s kennel trained, though he would definitely prefer the comfy spot in your living room. With some patience, music, and a few days to decompress, he becomes a calm, loving companion. He’s energetic, playful, and always ready for fun. He may have a bit of separation anxiety, but he makes up for it with loyalty, charm, and an endless supply of Husky commentary. Mingo is gentle and has shown no issues with food aggression, and while he hasn’t lived with kids, he seems like he’d do just fine around them. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, talkative buddy who will love you dearly (and tell you when the snack schedule is running late), Mingo is your guy!

For Adoption or Foster information, call 940-349-7594 or inquire by emailing animal.services@cityofdenton.com. Mingo is waiting!
