My name is Mindy, and I'm a 2 year old Female Chihuahua Mix currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home!<br/><br/>Mindy is a petite girl that may be small enough to tuck under your arm, but she has a whole lot of love to give! Mindy came to us from an overcrowded rescue, and she's now ready to leave her past behind and find a special person to call her own. She's a gentle, affectionate girl who can be a little shy when she first meets someone but once she gets comfortable, her personality starts to shine. She's the kind of gal who will happily become your tiny shadow and soak up all the love and attention you have to offer. This sweet girl is also housetrained, which means she's already got an important part of being a wonderful house companion down! She'd do best in a calm, loving home where she can settle in at her own pace and have a predictable routine. A quieter household with someone who enjoys the companionship of a little dog would be ideal for her. She doesn't need a busy, action-packed lifestyle. If anything, she'd probably be happiest with plenty of cozy naps, leisurely days, gentle affection, and a soft spot to curl up beside her favorite person. My adoption also includes a complimentary post-adoption health exam with a participating local veterinary clinic as well as a supply of Hill's Science Diet food to help make my first few days at home a little easier.<br/><br/>If you're ready to welcome me or another animal into your family, stop by during adoption hours-daily from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays. Visit the retail center at either Santa Barbara Humane campus, where you'll find toys, treats, collars, leashes, and more at competitive prices.
