Mina's Story

Meet Mina! Mina is an 8-year-old Siberian Husky who spent months in a Las Vegas shelter, where the stress of kennel life began to take a toll on her. Arctic Rescue was able to step in and give her a fresh start, and she’s now settling into foster care and learning what the good life can feel like.

Mina is a sweet, sensitive girl who appreciates a gentle approach. She can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she seeks out attention and affection. She’s looking for someone who will let her settle in at her own pace and give her the time she needs to feel safe.

Mina does well with other dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion in her new home. She tends to prefer calm, respectful dogs rather than pushy playmates, so thoughtful introductions are still important. She’ll need a home without small dogs.

At approximately 49 pounds, Mina is currently significantly underweight after losing weight during her shelter stay. Arctic Rescue is addressing her medical needs, including helping her regain weight, treating dental disease, and evaluating a mass on her chest.

After so much uncertainty, Mina deserves the simple comforts she’s been missing: a familiar routine, a soft place to rest, gentle affection, and people she can count on. A patient, loving family could make all the difference for this sweet girl. 🤍

Apply to adopt Mina through Arctic Rescue at arcticrescue.org/adopt

Please note that all Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “Needs Experienced Adopter.” Northern breeds often have higher exercise, training, and care needs, so adopters without prior experience are encouraged to research the breed before applying.

Arctic Rescue's Adoption Policy
HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
