It’s clear she hasn’t had an easy life.<br/><br/>Mimosa appears to have been overbred again and again, and arrived in our care showing signs of severe neglect, including a skin condition that is now being treated.<br/><br/>But despite everything… she is incredibly gentle.<br/><br/>She doesn’t ask for much.<br/><br/>She moves through the world quietly, cautiously — like she’s still learning she’s safe.<br/><br/>And when she receives even the smallest bit of kindness, you can feel how deeply she appreciates it.<br/><br/>Mimosa is the kind of dog who has been overlooked for far too long.<br/><br/>The mamas.<br/><br/>The older dogs.<br/><br/>The ones who slip through the cracks…<br/><br/>We can’t leave them behind.<br/><br/>We are urgently looking for a committed foster, foster-to-adopt, or adopter… a calm, quiet home where Mimosa can finally rest, heal, and learn what love feels like.<br/><br/>She is easygoing, low-demand, and so deserving of a soft place to land.<br/><br/>Let’s show Mimosa that her story doesn’t end here.<br/><br/>Interested in adopting?<br/>1. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home<br/><br/>Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days.
