Milo the Senior Survivor's Story
Meet Milo – A Survivor Searching for Home

Milo is not just another senior husky. He is a true survivor. At 6-8 years old, he came into Riverside Shelter as a stray and was given a heartbreaking deadline: leave by August 10th or be euthanized. Forgotten and overlooked, Milo was nearly lost forever.

But Milo’s story didn’t end there. He was rescued just in time and has been fighting for his second chance at life ever since. Along the way, vets discovered a tumor on his nose that required medical care, and because of his difficult past, he has been placed in a trusted behavioral training program.

Through it all, Milo has proven one thing: he wants to live, love, and be loved.

About Milo:

Breed: Siberian Husky

Age: 6-8 years old

Weight: ~52 lbs

Color: White & Black

Personality: Resilient, intelligent, and soulful. Milo has endured so much but still holds on with hope in his eyes. He is in ongoing behavior modification training to help him adjust and thrive in a home setting.

Ideal Home: Experienced husky or northern-breed owner, preferably adult-only, committed to continuing his training and providing a calm, stable environment.

Milo has traveled hundreds of miles, spent time in boarding, received vet care, and is now working hard with a Woof Tribe Ally to become the best version of himself. His journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth every step — because Milo deserves to finally know safety and love.

Milo isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for someone who will see past his scars, past his hardships, and see the beautiful soul inside.

If you’ve ever wanted to truly change a dog’s life, Milo is waiting for you.

Interested in adopting or fostering Milo?
