Milo's Story
Meet Milo!

Breed: Shih Tzu
Weight: 10 lbs
Date of Birth: 6/13/2022

Milo is a tiny gentleman with a huge heart. This 10-pound bundle of love was surrendered when his previous owner no longer had the time he deserved, and now he's ready to find a family who will cherish him furever.

Milo is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves meeting new people and will happily trot right over to say hello. One of his most endearing features? His little tongue sticks out of his mouth — and while it gives him extra character and charm, it doesn't bother him one bit! It just makes him even more irresistible.

He enjoys going for walks, exploring the world at his own pace, and then snuggling up afterward. Milo is house trained and does well with other dogs and even cats. He would likely thrive in a home with dog-savvy children who understand how to be gentle with a small pup.

Milo does have mild seasonal allergies, which are easily managed with a daily medication (Zenrelia) that is very affordable. He'll also need regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat healthy and looking its best — spa days are part of the Shih Tzu lifestyle, after all!

One thing to note: Milo is not a fan of being crated. He much prefers being near his people and included in daily life. He also is on a limited ingredient diet to help control his allergies.

Milo is searching for a loving, committed family who will make him a true member of the household — someone who understands that dogs are forever. In return, he promises loyalty, companionship, and endless sweetness.

If you're looking for a devoted little shadow with a permanently adorable smile, Milo just might be your perfect match.

Milo is:
Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies
Dewormed
Heartworm Tested: Negative
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Neutered

ADOPTION FEE: $400

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. We make every effort to evaluate each animal's temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.

While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
