This 10-pound bundle of love was surrendered when his previous owner no longer had the time he deserved, and now he's ready to find a family who will cherish him furever.<br/><br/>Milo is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves meeting new people and will happily trot right over to say hello. One of his most endearing features? His little tongue sticks out of his mouth — and while it gives him extra character and charm, it doesn't bother him one bit! It just makes him even more irresistible.<br/><br/>He enjoys going for walks, exploring the world at his own pace, and then snuggling up afterward. Milo is house trained and does well with other dogs and even cats. He would likely thrive in a home with dog-savvy children who understand how to be gentle with a small pup.<br/><br/>Milo does have mild seasonal allergies, which are easily managed with a daily medication (Zenrelia) that is very affordable. He'll also need regular grooming to keep his beautiful coat healthy and looking its best — spa days are part of the Shih Tzu lifestyle, after all!<br/><br/>One thing to note: Milo is not a fan of being crated. He much prefers being near his people and included in daily life. Furever Tails Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our primary adoption area is within the state of Michigan. We are currently not adopting out of state. Applications must be completed and approved prior to meeting or adopting an animal. You must be 18 years or older to adopt. All members of the family must be present in order to adopt. We want to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone! The applicant must be willing to undergo reference checks and a visit to the home where the dog will reside. Renters must provide a copy of their lease (including pet policy). All current canine/feline must be spayed/neutered and up to date on shots. All dogs must be on heartworm preventative and felines must be FeLV/FIV tested. A vet reference is required on all previous and current pets.
