Milo's Story

https://www.ildoberescue.com/adopt/plus-dogs/milo/

The biographical information provided is correct to the best of our knowledge while the animal is in our care or includes what may have been provided by a previous owner. We strive to be honest and accurate, but animals can change their personalities and behavior when they settle into a new home. IDR+ makes no guarantees based on the information we observe and provide.

Meet Milo!

Milo is a handsome young Giant Schnauzer born 4/17/24, and this lanky, long-legged guy is definitely hard to miss! He came to us as an owner surrender after his family had to move into a home that doesn’t allow multiple dogs.

Milo is young, energetic, smart, and yes...a little stubborn. He has lived successfully with Miniature Schnauzers and seems to be housebroken. He’s still figuring out that not everything needs to be a game — including the leash. Milo thinks grabbing the leash is pretty entertaining, so his future family will need to be ready to provide structure, training, and consistent boundaries.

This is not a couch-potato kind of dog. Milo needs plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and an owner who is comfortable being a confident, firm leader. An experienced, seasoned dog owner who understands the Giant Schnauzer personality would be ideal.

Because of his energy and tendency to get a little mouthy and rambunctious during play, Milo is looking for a home without young children. A securely fenced yard would be a big plus, although an adopter with a solid plan for providing him plenty of daily exercise may also be considered.

Milo is a young dog with a ton of potential. With the right person — someone willing to give him structure, exercise, training, and direction — this handsome guy could be an incredible companion. If you’re looking for a smart, active dog and appreciate the personality that comes with a Giant Schnauzer, Milo might be your guy!
