Milo (and Stella Bella)'s Story

Yes it's for reals that Milo, a gorgeous 7 year old Aussiedoodle is looking for a new place to lay his beautiful body. This well mannered boy is a total cuddle bug, shy at first but deeply loyal once he bonds. He and his sister Stella Bella have lived together their whole lives and are searching for a new postal code to call home. They balance each other perfectly - playful outdoors, calm inside.

Milo and his sister-from-another-mother Stella are those once in a lifetime pairings who are better together than they are apart. While Milo starts off a little shy, Stella is a social butterfly who welcomes everyone into her circle of trust. She knows that Milo can be cautious so she is protects him by being the brave one so he can hang back and feel protected. Don't misunderstand... Milo is no shrinking violet. He loves hiking, has excellent recall and enjoys learning tricks that keep his active mind engaged.

This is what his people say about Milo:

"Milo may be shy at first, especially around men, but once he warms up he becomes the most loyal best friend you could ask for. He loves cuddles, is very affectionate, and has a special protective instinct toward children. Milo is fantastic off-leash — his recall is excellent, and he enjoys hiking and showing off his tricks. On leash, he can be excitable and chatty toward other dogs, so he does best in a home that understands this and can continue managing it. He’s currently on a prescription diet for bladder stones but is otherwise a healthy, happy pup. Milo has great house manners — he’s quiet, respectful, and knows how to live comfortably in an apartment setting. He’ll bark to alert you of strangers at the door, making him a reliable little watchdog, but otherwise he’s calm and gentle in the home. Milo is looking for a loving home with his sister Stella that has space to play and people to snuggle. He’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty."

Milo is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee with his sister Stella is $1500.

**A consult with The Northern Dogs Project's partner dog centric behaviourist is mandatory for anyone interested in adopting Stella and Milo at a cost of $80. This consult gets everyone on the same page and on their way to success.

Adoption process includes application, virtual home visit, phone interview, reference check, meet & greet, adoption contract and $1500 adoption fee.

***Fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION at:
https://signup.ifaw.org/en-ca/northern-dogs-adoption-application-form

Milo and his best sisterfriend are awaiting your application.

Northern Dogs Project's Adoption Policy
Northern dogs are not a breed but a lifestyle. Until recently most dogs were free roaming but communities are now making changes to how they want to coexist with dogs and many are now tying. Dogs are all identified by Animal Care and are adopted to families in the south as family members only. Northern dogs are smart, experienced, dog social, have been handled by kids, feel safe with women, and are slightly unsure of men at first. Dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (core vaccines DAPP and rabies), microchipped and dewormed.
