Milo is an adorable young boy who was found as a stray but never claimed. He has been at the shelter many times, and he has always been claimed, but this time his family wouldn't even return phone calls. Milo is the sweetest. He loves to go for walks and is excellent on a leash. He is a nice medium size and has a beautiful, shiny coat. He has recently been added to a playgroup and loves to play with other dogs...but they need to be able to handle his energy. When he plays, he plays HARD! He always seems so happy! The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
