MILO's Story

Milo (A142689) is a 1-year-old husky mix who weighed nearly 70 lbs at intake! 07/11/26 This handsome guy is Milo! Milo arrived at the shelter as a stray from out in Chickaloon! Fortunately, he was microchipped, so we were able to get some history on him. However, his microchipped owner had rehomed him due to their son being allergic, and they were not able to get in contact with the people they had rehomed him to. Now he is looking for an active home that is ready for his energy! Milo was said to LOVE being outside, and the only thing he loves more than being outside is being outside in the water! He was described as being a big sweetheart who may excitedly piddle sometimes. He loves to play, and was said to do well with the kids in the home. He also loves to play with other dogs and cats. However, he can play very rough with cats, so please keep this in mind if you have kitties in the home that may not appreciate that. Milo used to chew on furniture (RIP dining room table), but he has since learned to redirect this behavior towards his toys. Making sure that Milo has plenty of appropriate chew toys available to him to keep this focus away from the coffee table or chairs. He has been known to dig and have a rough play style, but he was said to be housebroken. He was also said to be kennel trained, but he really doesn't like it. He'll do it, but he'll complain the whole time. He has been known to get into the trash if given the chance. If you are interested in meeting this excited, happy guy, please give us a call!
