Milo's Story

If sunshine could wag its tail, it would probably look a lot like Milo! This handsome Labrador Retriever Mix is a medium-sized boy with a very smiley face, a happy-go-lucky spirit, and a heart full of love to share. Milo is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready to find the forever family he’s been dreaming about.

From the moment we met him here at the shelter, Milo made everyone laugh with his silly personality and joyful energy. One of his favorite things to do is proudly carry around a squeaky toy or tennis ball like he just won the greatest prize in the world. Fun fact: Milo seems to believe every car ride is the start of an exciting adventure and he rides wonderfully along for the fun!

He has also had a habit of having a little tinkle when he gets too excited but he does not typically have accidents inside of the house. Milo loves people of all ages and is especially gentle and friendly with children. He is known to be a jumper when it comes to greeting people and he does know when it's time to be calm. He is picky about the dogs he likes so it might be best if he was your one and only pet. Milo enjoys both playtime and relaxing downtime with his favorite humans. Whether he’s zooming around outside, going on sniffing adventures, learning new tricks during training sessions, or curling up in a cozy bed after a busy day, Milo is happiest when he’s included in family life. He has also had a habit of having a little tinkle when he gets too excited but he does not typically have accidents inside of the house.

Milo is extremely food motivated so a treat or two will have him trained in no time. He knows a few commands like sit, wait, lay down and even eat it. He enjoys treats like chicken pieces, cheese cubes, crunchy biscuits, and stuffed Kongs, and he absolutely lights up for ear scratches, belly rubs, and interactive games. Milo is crate trained, eager to learn, and would thrive in an active home that can give him the playtime, affection, and companionship he deserves.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a contagious smile and a loving personality, we’d love for you to come meet Milo and see just how special he truly is.
