Milo's Story

Milo: A Sweet Boy with Lots of Love to Give
2 yr – 12 lb – Mini Golden Doodle (we think) – Non Shed – Baldwin Park, CA

Milo has a gorgeous, non-shedding red curly coat, beautiful long legs, and little white patches on his chin and chest. He is incredibly affectionate, and is a total puppy at heart.

The Sweetest Snuggle Bug
If you love affectionate dogs, Milo is your guy. He absolutely adores attention and will happily curl right up next to you on the couch for TV time. He is a master snuggler who loves to be as close to his humans as possible, and he sleeps beautifully through the night nestled right on his foster’s daughter’s bed.

A Day in the Life of Milo
His favorite activities include: playing happily with his toys. looking out the window to keep an eye on the backyard, taking cozy naps, following his foster brother, Rocky, around. Milo does well hanging out with his foster brother while his humans are at work and school. He is non-destructive and has not exhibited any separation anxiety. Milo is completely content staying on the lower level of the home—mostly because he hasn't quite figured out how to walk up the stairs yet!

Social & Friendly
Milo is very friendly, wonderful with kids, and gets along great with other dogs. He loves to play and is learning how to respect boundaries from his foster brother Rocky. When he gets a little too enthusiastic trying to nip Rocky’s ear to initiate playtime, his foster Mom easily redirects him with a favorite chewy toy.

Smart & Learning Fast
Milo is highly intelligent and a quick learner. Because his fosters work full-time, he is still working on his house training and wears a belly band during the day, but he is making steady progress. He is also practicing his doorway manners and learning not to run out when the front door opens.

When it comes to the leash, walks are a brand-new adventure for him! He doesn’t pull at all, but he does spin in happy circles and tries to jump up to celebrate being with you. Best of all, he has zero reaction to other dogs on walks, making him an absolute dream to train.

Health & Vetting Update
Milo was extremely underweight at just 6 pounds when he first arrived in rescue. He has already doubled his weight to 12 pounds! He is still working on gaining a couple more pounds to reach his ideal size. Milo is not picky and loves his food.

Milo is neutered, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on all of his vaccinations.
Ready to make this sweet, curly-coated boy a permanent part of your family?
