I'm Millie. I'm about 3 years old, but I seem to have had a long life already. <br/><br/>Somehow I found myself on the streets of upstate NY running with some friends I made. After awhile I found a lumber mill with lots of nice people. They took me in and kept me fed. I wasn't very comfortable around them and chose to live in the wood storage area and wouldn't let anyone approach me. <br/><br/>After about 1 year there, they knew a better life was meant for me and they called rescue to help. They took me into their program and moved me into a foster home.<br/><br/>I was adopted by my foster family has been doing well for the past year. I am crate trained, housebroken, spayed and up to date on all my shots. <br/><br/>I'm black and white, have a docked tail and no dew claws. <br/><br/>I don't walk well on a leash but will walk on a harness accompanied by another dog. <br/><br/>I love the company of other dogs but I'm still shy around people I don't know. Once I warm up and trust you, I'm a real love bug. <br/><br/>I live with 3 other GSPs and a beagle. I have a strong prey drive and I have a big interest in birds, squirrels and chipmunks and will chase them if they are in the yard. Recently, I've been having some problems with the beagle that I live with and I've become aggressive towards her, so my family has to find me a new home where there are no small pets.<br/><br/>I need a patient family who will take the time to gain my trust and work on training and socializing me so I'm not scared of people anymore. <br/><br/>My family calls me a diamond in the rough.
