Millie's Story
12/1/25

Our little 10 week Feist mix pups are ready to go and 3 are still available for adoption! Everyone meet Lou, Roscoe and Oreo (Millie and Chopper are already in foster to adopt homes!)

Lou is a sweet but active girl, just over 6# and the runt of the group. She is sweet and a bit shy but we are sure she will open up soon with a bit of TLC and a new home.

Roscoe is the Hulk of the group. At just over 12#, he will likely be at the bigger end of the weight category possibly even reaching closer to 40#. He is very lab like, sweet and gentle and will likely fit great into most families hearts and homes.

Our final feist girl is poor Oreo. At ~10# she is very sweet, calm and unfortunately will be needing surgery in the next few days since her previous owner placed a rubber band on her tail to dock it at home, and it left her scarred and with the bone at the end of her tail exposed and infected:(

If you're not familiar with this breed, a Feist is a small, energetic, terrier-like hunting dog from the American South. They are known for treeing squirrels, amongst other things, and typically weigh under 30 lbs, have short coats, and serve as smart, loyal companions for active families. They're known for courage, intelligence, and low maintenance but need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, often resembling Jack Russell Terriers or Rat Terriers in size and build.

Due to their size, age and temperament, foster to adopt requirements are:

-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-Being able to bring them back to our vets office in Adams for additional care will be needed prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking them to your current vet to be established.
-Since they are puppies, other dogs and cats in the home should be fine.
-Adult homes or homes with children over 5 years old should be fine since they are happy, social puppies.
-Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
-Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.

An adoption donation of $500 for the pups is being asked, if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. All have had an initial vet check, are current on vaccines, dewormings and prescription flea and tick medications and they have been spayed/neutered.

To foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

To foster ONLY: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/foster-application--acbs

The first step in our application process is the veterinary reference check so be sure to call your vets office first thing after applying to give permission to release information to our rescue or tour application will likely move to the bottom of our list and you may miss out on your potential adoption!

--------------
Adoptions are limited to a 500 mile radius of Adams, Ny. Foster to adopt pets are limited to an 80 mile radius of Adams, NY and pets must be takrn to our vets office for care until adoption.

All pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes. Dogs in the home must come to the meet and greet as well to be sure they will get along with the new pet. Veterinary reference check and adoption donation also required. Check out our homepage for a full list of our adoption requirements.

http://allcreaturesbigandsmall.petfinder.com Prevent pet overpopulation, spay and neuter your pets!
