Millie's Story
Meet Millie! She's a 6-8 year old Border Collie mix weighing in at 72 lbs. Millie is cat, dog, and human friendly. Don't let her age fool you, she loves to play ball! She recently got to go on a field trip, and this is what her handler had to say: "Millie easily loads into the truck bed and rides very well. She enjoyed exploring at the park and improved on her recall and leash skills while on the 30 line there. Millie has a nice play style, never jumping on you and I could see her playing safely around kids in a secured yard. Millie allows you to pet her all over her body and absolutely loves behind the ears scratching. She doesn't seem to have complete knowledge of leash training, but made huge improvements throughout her time in town. She did well passing by the farmer's market while live swing band music was playing and was interested in meeting all people she passed. She did amazing in the bank and actually fell asleep while her handler was talking to an employee. She immediately starts to decompress in quiet places compared to being a little overwhelmed at the pound with all the noises and various barking going on. For Millie, a calm home environment being loved on and getting just a little consistent routine in her life would make this lady thrive and be a great addition to any family home."<br/>72 lbs. <br/>We believe she would do best in a home with someone who was home a lot or worked remotely.<br/><br/>Come check out our adoptable dogs at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531.
