Millie's Story

Millie is a ~2 yo Bassett hound who was rescued from the south. She is a very happy, exuberant girl who loves all people and other dogs. She is playful, loving, smart and food motivated. She is surprisingly agile for a "low-rider" and likes to counter surf. She is in a foster home who was hoping to adopt her, but she is too exuberant for their elderly cat. She is not aggressive and is very friendly, but the cat is still afraid of her. She would do fine in a home with a cat who likes dogs. She gets along well with other dogs.

She is spayed and vaccinated. She is undergoing treatment for heartworm and needs to stay locally (Northern Vermont) through early April to complete her treatment. She is still working on house training. She does well with regular potty breaks every 2-3 hrs. She is crate trained, walks well on a leash and knows basic commands like sit and is working on coming when called.

Her adoption fee is $500. To apply to adopt her, go to cvcaninerescue.org
