Millie's Story

Millie is a typical fun-loving Husky with plenty of personality! She loves to sing the Husky song and, like many Huskies, she's always keeping an eye out for her next great adventure. She is an escape artist when left unsupervised, so her new family will need to be committed to keeping her safely contained. So far, she has done well in our 6-foot chain-link fencing for short periods of time.
Millie is said to be dog friendly, but she is far too interested in cats to be considered safe around them. She seems to do well in her kennel and may already be housetrained.
Millie is spayed, microchipped, and has received DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations
If you're looking for a fun, talkative, adventurous Husky who will keep you entertained, Millie might be your girl!

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
