Miller's Story

Meet Miller!

Age: 3 years
Weight: 22 lbs

Miller is a sweet and curious dog who is ready to find his forever home! He has bursts of energy that make him love to play and run, but he also enjoys relaxing on the couch, often burrowing under blankets for a cozy nap. Hes quite the little shadow, following you around to see what youre up to!

Miller adores going for walks, napping under blankets, and playing with his toys—especially his favorite rope toy.

When meeting new people, Miller is curious and excited but may take a little time to warm up. Approaching him slowly is the best way to earn his trust.

Miller is house-trained and has had no accidents indoors. He is crate-trained, although he can be a bit stubborn about going in. With some gentle guidance, he settles down after a little while. He knows his name and the command "come," but hes still learning commands like "kennel up" and "sit."

Although Miller doesnt currently live with other pets, he has been exposed to various animals in Texas, including big dogs, little dogs, cats, and even a bird. He was tolerant of the bird and respectful toward other pets. On walks, he shows curiosity about other dogs and may bark, but its just his way of saying hello!

Miller has a medium energy level, enjoying playful spurts while also being perfectly content to chill and nap on the couch.

He would thrive in a home with a yard or with someone who can take him on regular walks. When Miller first came to us, he had a severe skin infection, and while his hair is slowly growing back, we are unsure if it will fully return. He currently receives medicated baths 1-2 times a week to help his skin heal.

Miller is still learning how to play, which makes him delightfully playful. He can be a little mouthy at times, gently grabbing at fingers. While we havent seen him interact with children, he may do best in a home with older kids.

Miller is a wonderful dog who walks well on a leash and listens attentively. Hes motivated by food but can be stubborn, so continued training will help him grow. His curious nature means he loves to follow you around. While hes a bit unsure about going down stairs, he climbs up without hesitation. With encouragement, hes making great progress.

If youre looking for a sweet, loving companion eager to learn and explore, Miller might just be the perfect addition to your family! Are you ready to give him the loving home he deserves?
