MILLER 425's Story
It's Miller time! Hi, I'm Miller and I just moved to Wisconsin where my mom said everyone is as loyal and smart as I am, unless they're a Bears fan! Just kidding... I can adjust to any team, but I do hope I find a loyal family that will love me forever; the last people lost me and I was almost euthanized!

I'm a little mixed breed boy (your guess is as good as mine) who weighs only 28 pounds and I'm somewhere around 9 months old so I won't get much bigger, which makes me the perfect petite size who won't take up much space!

Right now the outside world is a bit scary and I'm still figuring out city sounds like sirens and trains. When I hear new things inside my baby Yoda ears perk up and I take it all in. But when I'm outside I like to be as close to someone as possible or find a safe space. I would love a home with another dog who can help guide me and feel comfortable. I love to cuddle up with people and enjoy play time with my foster brother. I think a home with kids would be okay as long as they are a little older or are used to living with dogs. I am very quiet and well behaved in my kennel, but I'm still learning to go potty outside so an occasional accident might happen as I'm learning. I'm very smart and treat motivated, so I'll get there quick! Since I'm a nervous guy outside I'm still mastering walking on a leash and might sit down next to you, but I'm a great listener and love kissy noises! I hope you want to meet me soon so I can be your pint sized best friend!

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- (SEE PINNED POST) and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in New Berlin. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$425+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$375+tax for ages 4-7
$275+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs. Should you see a dog that interests you, please send us a Facebook message or an email with your approval number. Please be patient with us, as Lucky Mutts Rescue is run strictly by volunteers and many of us work full time jobs, have families and also foster dogs. Thank you for considering Lucky Mutts Rescue for your next furry family member!
