After a lifetime in a kennel, Milford is discovering that life inside a home is actually pretty wonderful.<br/><br/>His Progress:<br/>In just a few short days, Milford has shown he is a quick learner. While he still finds comfort in his crate (his "safe space"), he is bravely exploring the house and loves spending time in the yard. He is currently a work in progress with house-training, but he’s already starting to give cues when he needs to go out. He’ll need a patient adopter who can continue this routine and keep his world small while he learns the ropes.<br/><br/>His Unique Personality:<br/>Milford is a quiet observer until he decides he has something to say! He has the most endearing "elk bugle" that he uses when he’s bored or just checking in to make sure you’re still there. It’s his way of self-soothing and connecting, and it’s guaranteed to make you smile.<br/><br/>The Ideal Home:<br/>Milford is looking for a "soft landing." A home where he can continue to blossom at his own pace would be perfect. He’s currently practicing sleeping in his own bed in his foster's room and is learning that humans are sources of comfort, not just caretakers.<br/><br/>Quick Stats:<br/>Status: Breeder Release (Maltese Mix)<br/>Vibe: Quiet, curious, and sweet.<br/>Training: Working hard on house-training and crate-training.<br/>Bonus: Professional-level "elk bugler."<br/><br/>Milford isn't just looking for a house; he’s looking for someone to join in on his song.
