Miley - in Vermont's Story

Meet Miley, a beautiful 3-year-old Saint Bernadoodle (Saint Bernard x Poodle) with a heart full of love and a serious devotion to her people. Miley is the kind of dog who follows you from room to room, ready to receive pets and belly rubs, and she builds close bonds with everyone in the household, not just one favorite person.

Miley is house-trained, crate-trained, and has been trustworthy in the house (the only thing she chews is her toys!). Shes a total people pleaser, which makes her a joy to train, and she has excellent recall. Give her a ball and she is in heaven—she will chase it happily all day and always brings it right back for another throw, both on land and in the water.

Because she loves to run and play, a securely fenced yard would be ideal, giving her a safe place to burn off energy and enjoy her favorite games of fetch.

Miley can be wary when she first meets a new dog and takes slow introductions. With playful dogs, she settles quickly and is ready to play within minutes. She has had more difficulty in busy environments with multiple dogs (such as farmers markets). She is extremely smart and eager to please, making her an excellent candidate for continued positive training and confidence-building around other dogs.

Because of this, Mileys ideal home would be:

* A family or individual with or without another dog. She is happy as an only dog or living with a canine companion.
* If there is another dog in the home, slow, thoughtful introductions are important to help Miley feel comfortable and build a positive relationship.
* A securely fenced yard where she can safely run, play fetch, and burn off energy.
* Someone with experience or an interest in helping build her confidence around new dogs using positive reinforcement.

Miley spent her first three years in a home with young children, so she is a wonderful fit for families or individuals looking for a devoted, affectionate companion. She thrives when she has plenty of exercise, positive reinforcement, and quality time with her people. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will happily join you on adventures and then curl up by your side at the end of the day, Miley may be the perfect match.

If you're looking for a smart, loving, deeply loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Miley might be your perfect match.

GHR ONLY ADOPTS TO ADULTS OVER THE AGE OF 25 AND PUPPIES WHERE CHILDREN ARE OVER THE AGE OF 6 AND TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE TIME FOR THEM.

It doesn't matter where the pups are from; it only matters where they live

THE NEEDS OF YOUNG DOGS FOR EXERCISE AND COMPANIONSHIP CAN GENERALLY NOT BE FILLED WHEN FAMILIES ARE GONE A LARGE PART OF THE DAY. APPLICATIONS WHERE YOUNG DOGS ARE LEFT LONG HOURS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED .

GHR ONLY ADOPTS TO ADULTS OVER THE AGE OF 25 AND PUPPIES TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE TIME FOR THEM. WE DO NOT ADOPT TO FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THESE PUPS ARE RESCUES, THEIR BREED MIX AND BIRTH DATES ARE UNKNOWN BUT WITH THE HELP OF OUR VET WE MAKE THE BEST EDUCATED GUESS. MOST OF THE PUPS ARE IN FOSTER CARE DOWN SOUTH WITH A RESCUE GROUP THAT WE HELP.

It doesn't matter where the pups are from; it only matters where they live the rest of their lives.
