Miles's Story
Miles is a gorgeous, sweet, and gentle 1 year old boy with natural ears, a docked tail, and stunning black and tan markings that turn heads everywhere he goes. He’s the kind of dog who quietly leans into you for affection and looks up at you like you hung the moon.
? What makes Miles special:
• Naturally calm and doesn’t jump on people
• Doesn’t usually get on furniture, very respectful in the home
• Fast learner, already knows sit, house, and gentle
• Rides great in the car relaxed and well-mannered
• Absolutely LOVES every person he meets
Miles currently enjoys a fenced backyard, so he gets his exercise roaming freely, and because of that, he’s still learning leash skills. With practice and consistency, he’ll pick it up quickly; he truly wants to please. We take him on morning walks to get a bit of practice in when there aren’t many distractions.
He is reactive to other animals right now, not from aggression, but from a lack of confidence. New situations can feel overwhelming for him, so he needs a human who will guide him with patience and reassurance. We have started working on introducing him to our other Doberman and our Goldendoodle, and he’s been responding great so far!
? Miles is looking for:
• A home where he can be the only pet (at least while he builds confidence) or where he has a separate space
• Someone willing to continue basic training and leash work
• A loving environment with structure, praise, and consistency
Miles is going to make someone unbelievably happy. He’s affectionate, loyal, and eager to connect with his person. He’s that once-in-a-lifetime companion who will follow you from room to room and always be ready for a snuggle or adventure.
Miles is fostered in Maryland.
DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV and southern parts of PA.
