Mildred is a gentle, resilient girl who has already come such a long way since coming into care. When she first arrived, she was extremely underweight, but with proper care, she has gained healthy weight and continues to show just how strong she is.<br/><br/>Mildred is dog friendly and would do best with a calm, respectful canine companion who understands personal space. She is also kid friendly.<br/><br/>Mildred is approximately 90% blind. She can see movement but primarily navigates the world through shadows, sounds, and her other senses. Despite her limited vision, she does remarkably well and is learning to confidently navigate her surroundings.<br/><br/>Because of her needs, Mildred is looking for a family where someone can be home with her most of the time. She needs frequent opportunities to go outside to help prevent accidents in the house. She will also need patience as she learns the layout and routine of her new home.<br/><br/>Mildred is heartworm negative, has completed her treatment, and is spayed and ready for adoption.<br/><br/>Mildred is ready for a peaceful home where she can enjoy the simple things: soft beds, gentle companionship, a consistent routine, and plenty of love.
