Meet Mila (aka Mimi)! <br/>*Located in Cedar Rapids* <br/><br/>Mila is a 70-lb, 2 year old half GSD/ half Akita mix who is basically a giant puppy wrapped up in a black-and-tan package! <br/><br/>Mila is a total lover and cuddle bug who wants to be wherever her person is. She loves tummy rubs, ear scratches, chin scratches, and pretty much ANY attention you're willing to give her. And yes... she prefers to do all of it upside down! <br/><br/>When she's not cuddling, Mila is ready to PLAY! She loves fetch, tug, roughhousing, zoomies, and absolutely terrorizing her toys (although she doesn't destroy all of them!). She especially loves a knotted piece of fabric that she can work on untying. She's also VERY food motivated-mention whipped cream and she'll happily spin in circles! <br/><br/>Mila is potty trained and has been wonderfully behaved when left loose in the house. She sleeps in bed with her foster and thinks that's exactly where she belongs. She knows sit, shake, and stay and is continuing to work on her leash manners and overall training.<br/><br/>She does well with kids. She will chase cats but didn't hurt them. Mila can be reactive to animals passing by the yard and on walks at times but has done well at petco with dogs around. She'll need a family willing to continue working with her and helping her learn to stay calm. She came into our rescue with 7 of her babies and they have all been adopted out, now it's Mila's turn! Mila was pulled out of a kill shelter with all her babies by another rescue and lived in a home with multiple other dogs before GSDRI got involved. <br/><br/>And then there are the ears. <br/>Happy Mila = ears straight up.<br/>Relaxed Mila = ears out to the side like Dobby.<br/>Zoomie Mila = ears straight back.<br/>We're still waiting to see the angry ears!<br/><br/>Mila is an incredibly loving, fun, goofy girl who just wants to love her people and be loved right back. If you're looking for a playful adventure buddy who will also happily snuggle upside down on the couch, Mila might be your girl!
