Mila's Story

Name: Mila
Breed: Belgian Malinois Mix
Sex: Spayed Female
Age: 4 months
Weight: 32 lbs
Animal Number: 4645

Friendly, Sweet, Playful, Very Energetic, Smart

Good with dogs? Yes, Mila is great with other dogs! She has very high energy and is a young puppy so she will do well with other playful dogs.

Good with cats? Mila plays more energetically with cats than they prefer. If she lives with cats, they need to be very chill cats.

Good with kids? Yes, she is great with the 5 and 7 year olds in her foster home and snuggles with them during lap time.

Energy level: VERY HIGH! She loves to play with dog friends and people. As a Belgian Malinois, she needs more exercise and mental training than most other dogs. She loves chew toys, enjoys them as rewards during her daily training, and may love agility training next!

Medical needs: Mila was rescued with burnt paws, most likely from running over a hot tar surface before she arrived at a shelter. Her paws have been treated, bandaged, and are healing well, but she’ll need to wear protective booties for several more months until they are fully healed. After she is healed, she should be fine!

Animal Characteristics: Mila is a friendly, sweet, playful, very energetic, smart young dog. She loves people, has been great with everyone she’s met, and loves other dogs. She is busy learning commands, potty trained, great at riding in a car and usually falls asleep, and kennel trained. She barks with excitement when she leaves her kennel and when she needs to release energy. She is not really afraid of anything! Mila needs an active adopter who can commit to physical and mental training to keep her moving, stimulated and always learning.

Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. My adoption fee is $400. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
