Thank you.<br/>------------------------------------------------------<br/>Fostered in Caledonia<br/><br/>Mila is an almost 4-year-old female Shih Tzu weighing just under 8 pounds. <br/><br/>Mila was rescued from a breeding situation and has since been spayed and given a clean bill of health. Due to her background, Mila can be shy and slow to warm up, especially with men. She can also be easily startled by loud noises. <br/><br/>Once she is more comfortable, she becomes your shadow. She follows her foster mom around and she loves to snuggle up on the couch. She will now even take treats from her foster mom’s hands. She is becoming more comfortable with her foster dad, but it is a work in progress. <br/><br/>Mila has become a great walker on a leash. She can easily do 30–40-minute walks as long as the weather is not too cold. Mila sleeps nicely in her crate at night beside her foster parents' bed. She is generally extremely quiet and would do fine in an apartment. <br/><br/>If Mila is using a backyard, it would need to be fenced to the ground, or she would need to be supervised as she can fit into small spaces. Mila is the only dog in her foster home. She has been fine with dogs we have had over or those we meet on our walks. She has briefly met two cats and did not seem interested so she would likely do fine with dog savvy cats. <br/><br/>Due to her small size, Mila would not be suitable for a home with small children. She is still working on her house training and usually uses her pee pads.
