Hi... I'm a 1-year-old Miniature Pinscher, and the shelter is the only home I've ever really known. <br/><br/>I've grown up here, watching the world from the same places every day. I've made many friends in my time here, big and small. My favorite moments are when I get to play and run with them. For a while, I get to forget about everything else and be a happy, carefree pup. I'm crazy smart and learn quickly- so I enjoy games that make me think. I want to be brave; I want to understand the world outside of the shelter.<br/><br/>But the truth is, it scares me.<br/><br/>Because I haven't experienced much beyond this building besides the events I've gone to, new things overwhelm me. New sounds, places, and people can make me unsure. I don't mean to be, I just don't know any different yet. <br/><br/>What I need most is someone patient. Someone kind. Someone who understands I didn't get the chance to learn the things other dogs my age knows. Somone to go slow, someone that feels safe. <br/><br/>I may not be the easiest at first, but I promise you I have so much potential. Under my fear is a playful, loving, loyal dog that hasn't had his chance yet. I've been waiting my whole life for someone to show me what home feels like.
