Mikell's Story

After losing his home because his owner was facing deportation, this 6-year-old, 28-pound boy is now looking for someone to give him a fresh start.

The shelter has been a lot for him, but once he settles in, his sweet and playful side comes out. He loves his toys, walks nicely on leash, knows his cues, and can settle down quickly once he feels comfortable.

He'd do best in a quieter home with adults or respectful older teens who can give him the time and space he needs to feel safe.

He deserves a home where he can finally relax and be a dog again.
