To schedule a time to meet this animal, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.<br/><br/>---<br/><br/>- Loved snuggling with his previous family, and his foster family also says he is a big cuddle bug! <br/><br/>- Likes to play and can be an energetic player - fetch and tug are a couple of his favorite things!<br/><br/>- Enjoys chewing on squeaky toys and Nylabones <br/><br/>- While he is cuddly, he also has an independent side and will wander off and do his own thing, even if his people are home; if you're looking for a dog who is snuggly but not too velcro, he may be a great choice! <br/><br/>- Does well in the car and enjoys going on walks<br/><br/>- Makes adorable snorting noises when he's happy <br/><br/>- Knows sit, shake and down <br/><br/>- Does great in his foster home while his family is at work - typically lies on the couch and sleeps all day <br/><br/>- Foster family says he has been potty trained in their home and is able to hold it for 8+ hours when left home alone; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine <br/><br/>- Can be quite nervous around strangers, particularly if they are very tall or wearing hats, and does best meeting new people outside his home and being allowed to interact at his own pace <br/><br/>- May be a unsure of new people coming to his house at first but warms up quickly once he realizes everything is OK; his foster family typically has him stay in his kennel for the first few minutes that new people are over to help him ease into the transition <br/><br/>- Lived with kids in his previous home and did well with them; however, he is not a fan of in-your-face interactions and some kids may be too much for him (mature home recommended) <br/><br/>- Very uncomfortable around other dogs and prefers not to be around them; must be the only dog in his home and would not be a candidate for dog parks or other dog-friendly places <br/><br/>- We don't know his history with cats <br/><br/>This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program.
