Right now, she prefers to hang back, watch from a safe distance, and take things at her own pace.<br/><br/>But we’re gently encouraging her to come out of her shell, build confidence, and discover that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.<br/><br/>Once Mika feels comfortable enough to climb into your lap, she’ll happily stay there while you’re petting her. When the pets stop, though, she’s ready to retreat to the safety of her crate. She’s still learning to trust, and she’ll need someone who understands that confidence doesn’t happen overnight.<br/><br/> **Mika would really benefit from having another dog in her home**, especially a confident, friendly dog who can help show her the ropes and reassure her as she learns.
