Meet Mika!<br/><br/>Mika is a gentle, loving girl with a quiet soul and a heart that's ready to trust the right family. She was rescued from the streets of Lo de Marcos, Mexico through a local animal rescue organization and made the incredible journey to the Pacific Northwest thanks to an amazing network of volunteers. We're currently fostering her and are happy to continue caring for her until she finds the perfect forever home- she's a LOVEBUG!<br/><br/>Life on the streets taught Mika to be a little cautious, so she may take some time to warm up to new people. Once she knows she's safe, though, she becomes an incredibly loyal companion who loves being close to her people. Whether it's going for walks, exploring the outdoors, chasing squirrels, or curling up for a cozy evening, she's happiest simply being with those she loves.<br/><br/>Mika is fully potty trained, knows basic commands, and has a sweet, eager-to-please personality. She gets along well with other dogs after thoughtful introductions-she can be quite shy and scared at first. Because she's a more sensitive dog, we think she'd thrive in a home with older, calm, respectful children who understand that she may need a little time and space to build confidence. She also previously lived peacefully with a cat. We believe she would do great with another mellow dog who is docile and willing to give her space at first but also loves to play!<br/><br/>Mika is available for adoption on her own and we truly believe she'll thrive in the right family. She has spent her entire life with her brother, Milo, and they share a beautiful bond. While we've decided they're both confident enough to succeed in separate homes, we'd also be absolutely thrilled if the perfect family came along wanting to adopt them together! (We are fostering them both.) Either way, we know these pups will thrive individually or together!
