Midnight's Story

Meet Midnight

Midnight is a St. Croix boy, all the way from the Virgin Islands, and he has been my right hand man for the past four days.

He came in pretty fearful/ unsure at first, and we're working through it simply by exposing him to things, sitting with him, letting him take it all in. And rewarding him for relaxing....and can I just say, hes crushing it. Hes very food motivated

This dog is super freakin smart. He's locked in on you, waits for direction, and will look right at you like "what's next?" Already knows sit, here and down. Working on "leave it" because feeding time turns him into a crazy man, but considering where he came from, that tracks.

He's great with the kiddos. He can cuddle with cats, but definitely is tempted to chase them when moving about.

Walking on leash and improving daily.

Surprised me with his potty skills. No accidents and goes the the door.

He's an excellent sleeper, sleeps in the funniest positions, and settles himself quickly when tethered or in his crate, maybe a little whine, then chills right out.

One of the funniest things is watching him run, it's like he forgot he has legs because they're so long. Super wobbly like a baby giraffe.

Midnight is learning the world is safe now, and whoever gets him is getting a smart, loyal, funny soul who just wants to know what you need from him.

If interested, apply to adopt on our website:
midlandcountypitstop.org

Our process begins by submitting an application on our website midlandcountypitstop.org (be sure the top of the app says MCPS Adoption Application, which is our new app).

Once submitted you will get a confirmation email or text saying we received your application.

Apps are processed fully in the order received.

The app process is as follows:
- vet check (current & recent pets must be s/n, UTD on vax, HW tested and on HW Prev at least 6 mo of the yr)
- cats must be triple tested
- background check
- video home chat of you, your family and we've love to meet your current pets as well
- then we set up the meet & greet

All pets are vaccinated to age, s/n (or it's scheduled) and microchipped

Please contact us by text or call 989.948.1096 with any questions you may have.

Dog:
Remember those puppy points:
- All current/recent pets in the home must be spayed/neutered
- All current/recent pets in the home must be UTD on vaccinations, test annually for HW and in HW Preventive regularly
- Adoption cost includes first round of vaccinations, rabies (if of age), spay/neuter and microchip
- Go to midlandcountypitstop.org
Go to applications and click on I want to adopt

Surprised me with his potty skills. No accidents and goes the the door.
