Meet Midnight

**TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA**

Sometimes despite our best efforts things don’t work out the way we would like. This has been the unfortunate situation with Midnight. Midnight is a NWFLGDR Alumni who is looking for a forever home.

Her adoptive family writes:

We are very sadly looking to rehome our majestic 4-year-old 102 lb. baby girl, Midnight.

She needs a quiet home where she can be the only dog with no other pets or children.

Midnight is very much a Velcro Dane and a big snuggler on her terms. She loves to sleep on a soft couch or bed, play tug of war, sometimes fetch, and loves it when I run around with her. She likes going on walks but on quiet streets where there won’t be many people or dogs. She is potty trained, knows basic commands, enjoys being in her crate and is currently basket muzzle training.

We adopted her from NWFLGDR as a puppy four years ago and last year she started showing signs of potentially needing to be the only dog/animal in the house. We had a trainer come in and work with us to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, it did not solve our problem. After quite a time trying, the consensus among us (vet, trainer, and rescue) is that Midnight needs a home where she can be an only child. She needs a home without other dogs or cats. Midnight is not a dog to take to dog parks or one that would be able to go for high-traffic outings. She's a homebody and just wants to relax on the couch near her human, and that makes her so content.

Midnight has anxiety and is on Zoloft and would benefit from an understanding person to care for her. Her medication is inexpensive and has helped desensitize her to some of her triggers - storms, loud noises, etc. She is a wonderful dog one-on-one with her humans and is not destructive whatsoever.

Midnight would thrive in a home as an only dog where she can be the queen of the couch and get all the lovins. Could you be the person/family that she needs?

Midnight has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention and has been microchipped.

Midnight’s adoption fee is partially sponsored. To read over the adoption requirements and apply to adopt Midnight, please go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt.

PLEASE NOTE: NWFLGDR does not transport. All approved adopters are required to pick up the dog in person from his/her foster.
