Meet Midnight
**TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA**
Sometimes despite our best efforts things don’t work out the way we would like. This has been the unfortunate situation with Midnight. Midnight is a NWFLGDR Alumni who is looking for a forever home.
Her adoptive family writes:
We are very sadly looking to rehome our majestic 3.5-year-old 102 lb. baby girl, Midnight.
She needs a quiet home where she can be the only dog with no other pets or children.
Midnight is very much a Velcro Dane and a big snuggler on her terms. She loves to sleep on a soft couch or bed, play tug of war, sometimes fetch, and loves it when I run around with her. She likes going on walks but on quiet streets where there won’t be many people or dogs. She is potty trained, knows basic commands, enjoys being in her crate and is currently basket muzzle training.
We adopted her from NWFLGDR close to 3 years ago and last year she started showing aggression towards one of our other pups. We had trainer come in and work with us to resolve the situation, but things just got worse, and our good friend ended up taking our other pup. For six months things seemed okay but about 4 weeks ago she attacked another one of our pups. The consensus among us, the vet, the trainer and the rescue is that she needs a home where she can be an only “child”.
Midnight has anxiety and is on Zoloft and would benefit from an understanding person to care for her. Her medication is very inexpensive but has helped desensitize her to some of her triggers which are storms, loud noises, etc. She is a wonderful dog one on one with her human and is not destructive whatsoever.
Midnight is not a dog park dog or one that would be able to go for outings. She would thrive in a home as an only dog where she can get all the lovins. Could you be the family that she needs?
Midnight has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention and has been microchipped.
