Mickey's Story

Mickey is a tiny man jam packed with spunky cuteness! If you are looking for a pint sized shadow look no further. Mickey is an easy going guy who is just down for a good time. He is happy to go places, do things, and meet people or he is happy to curl up in bed all day and watch some TV. As long as he is with his person most of the day he is happy. He is leash trained, doesn't care for a crate at his age, and as long as he is on a strict schedule does well with potty training with minimal accidents. Mickey is a healthy boy for his age but does have some allergy issues off and on that he gets injections for when they act up. He also has no bottom jaw and only no teeth. Despite this he eats his food like a champ and loves soft treats and chicken. He does fine with cats, small dogs, and would be fine with older children that understand he is a senior dog.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from KY Hopeful Paws. Please read the below requirements before submitting an adoption application. We will reach out to you with any questions, or if your application is approved. You must FULLY COMPLETE the adoption application. We cannot process incomplete applications. All current pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, and must be spayed or neutered. If you have extenuating health circumstances with a pet, please note on your application and provide a letter from your veterinarian with an explanation. Please note: due to the high volume of applications we receive, we cannot reach out to those whose applications are incomplete or are not approved. Please note: this application does not guarantee approval of your application or placement of a dog into your home. Some dogs will receive several applications and others only a few. We attempt to find the best-matched home for each dog. If not selected, your application will remain on file for future dogs. Please note: Our rescue is run solely by volunteers. It may be a number of weeks before you hear back regarding your application. Please be patient as we are trying to work through applications as quickly as possible.
