Micah's Story

If you're looking for a gentle soul who prefers cozy naps and quality time with their favorite people, Micah may be your perfect match. He is smart, curious, and incredibly sweet, with a quiet charm that's impossible to resist.

Micah can be a little shy and reserved when meeting new people or exploring new places, but with patience and kindness, their personality continues to blossom. Every day brings a little more confidence, and it's been wonderful to watch them warm up and seek out human companionship. While they get along with other dogs, Micah's favorite place is right by their person's side. When given the choice, they'll choose people over pups, food over toys, and a comfy nap over a game of fetch every time!

Micah is making great progress with house training and has improved tremendously since arriving in foster care. They're still learning consistency and are looking for a family willing to continue helping them succeed. Crate training is also a work in progress-it's not Micah's favorite thing yet-but with time, patience, and positive reinforcement, they're sure to keep making strides.

If you're searching for a loyal companion who will reward your patience with trust, affection, and plenty of cuddles, Micah is ready to meet you!

Quick stats!
--Dogs: has not been introduced to dogs in the home
--Cats: has not been introduced to cats in the home
--Children: has not been introduced to children in the home
--Likes: cozy naps and soft beds, spending time with their favorite humans, and a good snack

If Micah sounds like the right fit for your home, fill out an adoption application today! muttsofthemidway.org/adopt

Mutts of the Midway's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to adopt and your interest in Mutts of the Midway. Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged! All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs. All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on vaccines, microchipped, spay/neutered, heartworm preventative and given a health exam.
