Mia's Story

Mia is proof that a rough beginning does not have to define the life that comes after it. When she was just three months old, Mia hit by a car and left behind on the side of the road with a broken leg. She has since healed beautifully, and today, she is not defined by what happened to her. She is defined by her joy, her resilience, and her enormous personality packed into a very sturdy 40 pound body.

Mia is a DNA tested French Bulldog/German Shepherd Dog mix, and once you know, everything about her starts to make sense. Those adorable ears, her unique coat, her expressive face, and especially her personality are the perfect combination of both breeds. She may be short and stocky, but Mia puts the mighty in tiny. She is built like a little tank and has absolutely no idea that she isn't a big dog.

Outgoing, friendly, and incredibly social, Mia loves EVERYBODY. Her tail is almost always wagging, and she is perpetually ready to meet a new friend, make someone smile, and hand out as many kisses as they will accept. She has that wonderful kind of personality that makes people stop and smile when they meet her. Mia genuinely enjoys being around people and wants to be part of whatever is happening.

She is also a playful girl who loves having fun. Mia loves playing with other dogs and is more than happy to keep up with the big boys. She would make a wonderful companion for another playful, social dog who enjoys having a sturdy little playmate around. She also loves water and will happily splash and play whenever the opportunity presents itself. Car rides are another favorite, and if there is an adventure happening, Mia would very much like to be invited.

Mia isn't just fun but she is a smart and well-mannered girl, too. She is crate trained and potty trained. She knows sit and responds well to “leave it.” She is gentle when taking treats and loves going for walks. She is eager to please and has the kind of intelligence that makes continued training both rewarding and fun.

At just 40 pounds, Mia is a wonderful medium size for someone looking for a dog who is substantial enough for adventures and playtime without being an enormous dog. She has the enthusiasm and confidence to keep up, but she also has that affectionate side that makes her happiest when she is spending time with her people.

Mia has spent time attending adoption events, happily meeting new people and collecting attention wherever she goes. She is more than ready for her next chapter, though, and what she really wants is a forever family of her own. She would thrive with someone who will keep her active, continue her training, include her in family adventures, and appreciate just how much personality can fit into this adorable body.

Mia has already proven how strong she is. Now she is ready to prove just how much love, laughter, adventure, and unconditional companionship she can bring to a family. Her past may have been heartbreaking, but her future can be everything she deserves.

Est DOB 10/7/25
