Mia's Story
Mia is our special needs princess. She is paralyzed in her rear legs due to a spinal injury when she was just 2 years old. Our team has been working with Mia on her mobility which is improving with chiropractic support and water therapy. We would ask Mia's family to continue her treatment protocol with the hopes that she might gain additional strength in her body. She is an absolute LOVE with gentle kisses as she pops around her foster home.
She previously lived with big and small dogs but currently is the only dog but has two (2) foster feline siblings (Minnie and Misty). She enjoys the company of the cats but prefers being on foster mommas lap.

Don't let her disability fool you as she can move like the wind and has no problem keeping up with the others in the home. Mia wears a small diaper but is expressed twice a day with ease. She is not prone to Urinary Tract infections at this point but that is always something to watch for in a paralyzed animal. Mia is 5 years old. Loves everyone and all animals. Is great around kids but would not be a candidate for very young ones due to how her size and mobility limitations. She can be easily hurt without intent with very young children. Please consider filling out an adoption application so that we can discuss whether Mia might just be the princess pup in your fairy tale story. Or perhaps you want to take your time and start with a foster to adopt. No pressure as we know Mia will find her place. Thank you for considering this sweet pea as a part of your family.

Think Mia could be that extra special match?
