Mia's Story

Mama Amigas litter has had a rough start in life, but after overcoming more than their fair share of challenges, these adorable pups are finally healthy, thriving, and ready to start searching for their forever families!

Most of the puppies are currently in the 46 pound range, with Gordo tipping the scales at nearly 8 pounds. Tiny Mia remains the smallest of the bunch at just 3.9 pounds.

These puppies are happy, playful, well socialized dogs who love toys, outdoor adventures, and spending time with people. Like all puppies, they will need families committed to continued house training, crate training, and positive reinforcement based training. We highly recommend classes through Fur Better Fur Worse Dog Training or another trainer who uses similar methods.

Paloma is a beautiful rich chocolate color with the cutest little tan eyebrows. Her favorite thing? Rolling onto her back for belly rubs.

Carmen is another chocolate beauty. Her adorable forehead wrinkles give her a permanently worried expression, though her biggest concern these days is figuring out when dinner is being served.

Gordo is our lovable chunky monkey. His personality is just as big as he is! Friendly, outgoing, and full of joy, he's usually the first puppy to run over and introduce himself.

Mia may be tiny, but she is mighty. She has to be when her siblings are nearly twice her size! She enjoys bossing her brothers and sisters around but also appreciates curling up on a soft bed for some quiet time.

Rio is absolutely precious. He resembles Mama Amiga the most and is always ready for a game in the yard or a cuddle in your lap. Even the veterinarian noted that he is "constantly wagging his tail."

Rosaline is the adventurer of the group. She's always the first to investigate a new toy, explore a new area, or see what exciting thing might happen next.

We are continuing to monitor little Saul for some medical concerns and are not accepting applications for him at this time.

The puppies are current on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives and are microchipped. They will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract so they can finish growing before surgery. Their adoption fee is $350.
To meet one of these sweet pups, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter facility, and all meet and greets must be scheduled.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All current pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and routinely kept up to date on vaccinations and preventatives to be considered for adoption.
