WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Mía! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am a very pretty girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on March 21, 2022! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I weigh 24 pounds! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a blue merle, so my coat is swirl of grey and white! My beautiful hazel eyes are quite mesmerizing, but my main showstopper is my adorable floppy left ear! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love food and would eat anything I'm given. However, I have some allergies to chicken and other poultry products. My favorite treats are salmon bites my foster mom gives me! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am perky and energetic! I love to chew on my squeaky toys or be cuddled while getting a belly rub. I love love LOVE being with my humans! But my most favorite thing to do is steal toys and play catch me if you can! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day is eat, play, sleep, cuddle on repeat! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? My favorite toys are the ones I steal from others! Especially the rubber spikey kong balls, squeaky toys, or the Benebones! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know "sit" so far! And I know to go to my crate when it's time to eat or sleep. WHAT SCARES YOU? I have a case of FOMO (fear of missing out) but that's about all so far. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, I've only met older kids so far (9+ years old). I like that they give me a lot of attention and love to play with me and my toys! DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven't met a cat. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like them a lot, big or small! Especially playing keep away with toys! It's my favorite game! Though since I can be a toy hog, slow introductions are important. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I love to be with my humans getting attention or just cuddling on the couch. When it's warm out, I do love sunbathing! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m an IVDD survivor! I have recovered amazingly from surgery and just have a little wobble when I walk. So I use soft stairs to go up and down the couch, and I avoid hard stairs. Did I mention I'm allergic to poultry? Typical Frenchie right? WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, foster grandma, and five other dogs! There are two large Cane Corsos, two other frenchies (Peru and Billy), and something called a "chiwhatwhat.” I'm closest to my foster mom because she took such good care of me while I healed, but also because she's my snack supplier. Though, I have a little crush on Peru and like stealing his toys to make him chase me. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang in my x-pen area or an extra large crate. I have enough room to stretch my legs WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Same as my hangout area. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I’m pretty great on leash and love going on walks and adventures! Though my walks aren't very long just yet since I'm slowly building up my muscles and stamina. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Well, I guess stealing toys is frowned upon by some when I get overzealous about it. So toys have been a slow introduction when in shared spaces. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I use a doggy door with confidence if I have access to it! Though if there's a potty pad in my x-pen, I'll use that too. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I LOVE to slurp it, not sure how I would feel about a splash pad on a hot day, but I’m willing to try it out when the weather warms up! No swimming pools for me. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They make me feel safe and loved, and give me so many toys to play with! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUED? Well, I was used for breeding, then given up when it took a toll on my body. The vet hospital that did my surgery contacted NorCal Bully Breed Rescue to help me find a loving home. Now that I’m all healed up, I am ready to spend the rest of my fabulous life being loved and cuddled and playing and going on walks. And did I mention love? NorCal Bully Breed Rescue's Adoption Policy

**We are currently only adopting out to the immediate Sacramento area which includes Sacramento County, parts of Placer County and parts of ElDorado County. We currently hold adoption events once a month at the Pet Food Express store in the Roseville Fountains. Please check our Facebook page for announcements! ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in the adoption process is the completion of our online adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org. **Your application will not be reviewed if you do not live with the immediate Sacramento area which is Sacramento County, parts of Placer County or some parts of Eldorado County) The second step is the home check. Our main priority in this step is insuring that your yard is 100% secure - there can be no loose boards or gaps in your fencing. If your dog is going to be spending anytime outside while you are at work or away from home, we ask that you have adequate shade or shelter from the elements. Before we schedule a home check, we may ask you to send us photos of your yard/fencing to get an idea of where the dog will be living. If you have any hesitation or questions about our yard check, please see our section on "How to Prepare for a Home Check." The last step in the adoption process is the meet and greet. This is where we meet with you and any existing pets to ensure proper introductions are made. We want to make sure everyone gets along. Once all introductions are made, and everyone gets along, your rescue dog is yours to adopt. Please note that there is no pressure involved, and if situation that cannot be resolved arises, we will always take our dog back. Also, be aware that there is an acclimation period for each dog and every dog is different. It can take a few days or a few weeks for your new dogs to settle in. We will assist in any way possible, including referring our trainer to come work with you and the dog. ADOPTION PREREQUISITES: All of our dogs are rescues, meaning they have already needed help in some way, and will only to to homes where they will live a "CHARMED LIFE." All of our adoptive dogs will be indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. We believe that dogs are family members, and should be allowed to sleep indoors. The only time they should be kept outdoors is if the weather permits. Any applications looking for an outdoor only dog will be denied. All current pets in your home need to be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and one heartworm preventive. Out of area adoptions are within reason and on a case-by-case basis. HOW TO PREPARE FOR A HOME CHECK: Walk the perimeter of your yard. Take notes on the condition of your fence. Are there any loose boards or gaps under any sections of you fencing? If yes, these are easy fixes. You can nail any loose board back into place, and you can fill any gaps with pavers and gravel Do you have a lock on your gate? If not, please purchase one prior to your home check. Is there adequate shade or shelter for your new dog if it is going to be left outdoors while you're at work? Do you have anything hazardous in your yard, i.e. nails sticking out, chemicals left out, etc? Do you have a cat? If so, does your cat have a high spot it can retreat to if being chased? Are your garbage cans located somewhere near a gate where a dog can jump into them to get out? If so please move them. Please address these issues prior to our visit. ADOPTION FEES: All of our dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to being adopted. Our adoption fees are considered to be donations. All donations from adoption go right back into our rescue account, allowing us to continue to help dogs in need. At the bare minimum, the cost to properly vet a dog is $100. But some of the dogs we take on are medical cases, which can cost several thousand dollars. Because of this, we ask the following adoption fees: $500 for puppies, which are any dogs under a year old $300 for most adult dog aged 1 year or older. (French/English Bulldogs have significantly higher adoption fees which are explained on our website.)
