Mia (aka Yamo)'s Story

Mia arrived from SOI RESCUE, Thailand on August 28, 2021 at age 2.5 years and was adopted October 16, 2021 by her present owners. Mia is now 7 years old.<br/>She had been hit by a car with both back legs broken. After having 5 surgeries on her back legs and learning to walk again, she was brought to Canada by JRTRO. She is now totally healthy and well cared for but may develop arthritis in her hind end as she ages. Mia is about 9lbs over her perfect weight.<br/>She is spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped. <br/>Mia is being relinquished back to JRTRO due to one bite to the other dog in the home while they were interacting. Also Mia has growled at the new grandchild.<br/>Housetrained<br/>Leash trained<br/>Not crated……no destruction while left alone<br/>Mia has a high prey drive<br/>She is protective of her family and does much better at the vet if her owners do not accompany her in the exam room<br/>Mia is loving, shy, loves her toys, is independent and loyal<br/>She knows sit, paw, down and has great recall in the back yard<br/>Mia is a beautiful dog who would do well in a quiet home with a couple or single person, no small children. She would love a fenced yard to run and watch for squirrels.<br/>Mia needs a chance at a good life! Please. <br/>Mia is located in London, Ontario.

Jack Russell Terrier Rescue Ontario (JRTRO)'s Adoption Policy
Adoption Fees, payable at the time of Adoption: Our adoption fees are as follows, effective January 1, 2021: Puppy age 1 year and under $525. If the puppy is too young to be altered a spay/neuter contract applies. There would be an additional $300 refundable when JRTRO receives a copy of the spay/neuter certificate for the puppy. Adult dogs 1-9 years $450 Senior dogs over 9 years $300 **Dogs with pre-existing health concerns will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis. All fees go towards helping Jacks in need make the transition to their forever families. All adult and senior dogs have been spayed/neutered and all dogs are vaccine up-to-date and have had a general health check. Puppies may not have been spayed/neutered depending on their age. Should a dog have a medical issue diagnosed by our vet it will be treated prior to being adopted and disclosed in the adoption process. JRTRO places dogs in Ontario, Canada and on a few occasions, we’ve placed dogs in other provinces (provided the adoptee is able to come and meet the dog).  If you are in another province, you can find your province’s rescue contact on the JRTCC (www.jrtcc.com/) rescue page or if you are in the United States you can find your state’s rescue contact on the JRTCA (http://www.therealjackrussell.com/) rescue page.
