Mia's Story

Hi, I’m Mia — your future adventure buddy, ball enthusiast, and queen of the zoomies!

I’m a beautiful brindle mix, around 1 year old, with a soft heart and a big love for the outdoors. I can be a little shy when we first meet — I like to take my time and make sure you’re the real deal (which you totally are). But once we step outside? Boom. Full-speed zoomies activated.

The second my paws hit the grass, I light up. I LOVE to run, sniff, explore, and most of all… play with balls. Seriously, balls might be my emotional support toys. Toss one, and I’ll chase it with pure joy — then proudly prance around with it like I just won the lottery.

I’m affectionate once I trust you and would thrive in a home that understands I need a little patience up front and lots of playtime after. I’d love a fenced yard, regular walks, or weekend adventures where I can enjoy the breeze and be my goofy, zoomie-loving self.

If you’re looking for a sweet, slightly bashful best friend who turns into a total goofball once she’s outside, I might be your perfect match.

Let’s play fetch and fall in love.

Please fill out an application on our website at https://greenepet.org/

Once you've submitted your adoption application and it is approved, you'll have the opportunity to come meet me! Please allow some time for your application to be reviewed, as the shelter wants to ensure that each adoption is a perfect match. If you have any questions or would like to learn more information about me, don't hesitate to call (724) 627-9988 or email adopt@greenepet.org. The friendly staff at the shelter will be more than happy to assist you.

Adoption application: https://greenepet.org/adoption-application/

Humane Society of Greene County
183 Jefferson Rd, Waynesburg, PA 15370
2138NP

(Last Updated: 8/3/25)
