What is Chicagoland Lab Rescue’s adoption process?

Thank you for thinking of rescuing with us! The first step is to fill out the Adoption Application on this page.  As you browse the adoptable Labs, we will process your application and be in touch very soon. The next step includes a visit to your home by one of our volunteers with a Lab.  This is very important to help ensure that all questions are answered and that we both agree that adopting a Lab from CLR is a good fit. Assuming we both agree that a Lab from CLR is appropriate, our Placement Coordinator will help you meet a Lab that best fits your criteria. All of our Labs are housed in Foster homes.  Potential adopters learn about the Lab from the Foster and eventually go to the Foster home to meet the Lab and complete the adoption right there if appropriate.
