In April 2023, Mia was found abandoned in a dangerous, secluded area in Mexico, left there with her eight newborn puppies with the intention that none of them would survive. By pure chance—and kindness—Mia and her babies were rescued and brought to safety.<br/>Sadly, tragedy followed. Three of her puppies passed away unexpectedly a few weeks later, and while efforts were made to protect the remaining pups, three more were stolen while in foster care. Through unimaginable loss, Mia remained devoted and loving. Today, she shares her life with her two surviving puppies, Micky and Maki, and continues to show remarkable strength and grace.<br/>Mia is a 3-year-old Labrador mix weighing 23 kg, and she is truly as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She has an extremely gentle, sweet nature and a calm, thoughtful presence. Mia enjoys playing with toys and plastic bottles—often happily entertaining herself—and she gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. While she is social, she also appreciates having her own space and does best in a peaceful environment.<br/>Highly intelligent and eager to please, Mia responds quickly when called and loves her routine. In new environments or around new people, she may need a little time to settle in. When she feels unsure, she naturally seeks out small, quiet spaces—under the stairs, in a room, or even the bathroom—where she feels safe and protected. Once she feels secure, her loving personality truly shines.<br/>Mia is wonderful with children and would fit beautifully into many families, especially a calm household or a senior family who can offer her patience, stability, and the second chance she so deeply deserves. And yes—Mia loves her food and enjoys her meals very much, which has earned her a little extra “chubbiness” and a lot of charm.<br/>Despite everything she has endured, Mia remains incredibly loving, playful, and full of hope. All she needs now is an opportunity—a family who will choose her, cherish her, and give her the happy ending she has always deserved. Could that be you?
