Mi Amor-- IN FOSTER CARE's Story
Mi Amor has unfortunately found his way back to our shelter for a third time due to no fault of his own. While he was in his previous home, he gained a few pounds and will need to be on a weight loss regimen to live a long, happy, and healthy life. He is now estimated to be around 9 to 10 years old. He is still the sweet, loving boy he has always been; he just needs some extra TLC now that he's in his senior years.

Shelter life was overwhelming for such a mellow soul, but thanks to a foster, he’s now adjusting beautifully and showing his true charm. Below is an updated bio his new foster mom has sent on our beloved Mi Amor.

Meet Mi Amor — “my love” in French (you can also call him Buddy, Good Boy, Big Boy... he's flexible!)

House-trained and wonderfully easygoing

Rides calmly in the car

Gets along well with other mellow dogs, and has even been tolerant of a young, high-energy pup

Enjoys short walks and lounging on the couch

At about 9 years old, Mi Amor is simply looking for a cozy home where he can relax, be loved, and maybe lose a few pounds to help his joints feel better. His ideal home would have little to no stairs so he can move around comfortably. He’s a low-maintenance, loyal companion who promises unconditional love in return for a comfy spot and kind company.

Seniors like Mi Amor have so much love left to give—could he be your perfect couch buddy?

*As he is currently in a foster home, please contact the shelter to set up a time to meet this great boy!
